Sara Bareilles has announced that she is exiting NBC's a capella competition "The Sing-Off" after one season as a judge. "The Hollywood Reporter" confirms that the singer will not be returning because she has plans to focus on musical endeavors of her own.
The show was renewed last month and is set to premiere during the holiday season this year. No word on whether the other judges, Boyz II Men singer Shawn Stockman and Ben Folds, will be returning for the fourth season. Nick Lachey, whose new album with 98 Degrees comes out next month, is "The Sing-Off's" host.
As for Bareilles, just last week she announced a string of tour dates for April and May. In a statement on her website, she called it the "Brave Enough" tour, saying that she wanted to get back on the road after a year of "heartbreaking, terrifying and breathtaking" life changes.
