SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Authorities say a woman is in critical condition after allegedly jumping off the third floor of Scottsdale Fashion Square on Thursday.

We're told the 41-year-old woman climbed over the railing and quickly plunged three stories down.

She landed on a row of rental strollers with poles on them. Police say the woman was impaled by one of them.

She was rushed to the hospital with pole still inside her.

She underwent surgery to get the pole out and at least check, she was in critical condition.

At least one person did notice what was going and tried to stop her.

Police say the woman jumped as the witness called 911.

It's the second fall at Scottsdale Fashion Square this summer.

A 65-year-old woman fell two stories to her deah in June and police believe that plunge was intentional.
