A child life specialist at the Arizona Children’s Center at Maricopa Medical Center wrote a letter to Mathew about an amazing 11-year-old girl who has been hospitalized since Thanksgiving. She suffered bad burns covering 40 percent of her body and has been going through a long, hard rehabilitation process.

Each day she is required to shower and clean the mounds which is very painful. Music and singing have played a huge part in keeping her strong and positive during this process. Their staff is even encouraging her to try out for American Idol in the future. The 11-year-old is doing great now and will be going home Friday following a going away party.

We asked listeners to help get this little girl a karaoke machine to take home with her. Of course, our amazing listeners came through! We’d like to say thank you to Lisa for making this happen for her.
