In addition to the newly-recruited Gwen Stefani, it looks like the seventh season of The Voice will have two blonde mentors on the panel.

Maroon 5‘s frontman Adam Levine retired his dark hairstyle and debuted a platinum hairdo in a Twitter picture he shared on Saturday. In the mirror photo, the 35-year-old poses in a muscle shirt with his fiancé Behati Prinsloo, who seems to have also dyed her locks into a darker hue.

“Apocalypse prep course complete,” he captioned the snapshot.

According to his stylist Shaul Arbiv, Adam — who will make his film debut in Begin Again — colored his hair for the upcoming summer season, not for a new role.

“With summer months coming up we wanted to do something totally drastic and different from his previous styles so we bleached it,” Shaul tells People. “I have been working with Adam for a long time and he likes to change up his style often.”

Fans have tweeted the rocker mixed reviews on his extreme hairdo, but the always-blunt Adam weighed in on the negative comments in a follow-up tweet and considers them as “the highest compliment.”
