On Twitter last night, Conor McGregor announced he will be retiring from the MMA according to People.
"Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as ‘Mixed Martial Art’ today, I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper [Piña] Coladas on me fellas!”
He will be potentially done by next July. He has a bunch of injuries recently and also has been "arrested by Miami Beach Police and charged with strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief after the incident at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach." So maybe it's the best to just end things in the ring for now.
