Portland Parks and Recreation announced Tuesday that it would keep facilities closed this summer, not open seasonal public swimming pools, and is canceling all camps and activities.
The department will be focusing its efforts this summer on urgent community needs, including the Lunch + Play program, which provides free lunch to Portland kids all summer.
