Gov. Ducey New Executive Order Will Limit Indoor Dining To Less Than 50%

Governor Doug Ducey addressed the growing coronavirus cases in Arizona in a press conference Thursday afternoon. Ducey announced that he’s ordering restaurants to limit capacity to less than 50%, something many other states have already enacted. The number will be based on fire code capacity.

This comes as Arizona has become as a national hotspot for COVID-19 since Ducey loosened stay-home restrictions in mid-May.

Ducey also says that they’re working to expand testing at the West Phoenix surge site.

  • Number of deaths: 2,038
  • Number of cases: 112,671
  • Number of total tested: 841,282 (at both private and state labs)
