Utah has legalized free-range parenting. So what is free-range parenting is about encouraging kids to be more independent and self-sufficient.
"The bill determines situations that children can engage in that would not be considered parental neglect: traveling to and from school or recreational facilities, playing outside or sitting in a car unattended, provided safe conditions"
Do you think that this would create more of surge of kids handling things by themselves? Or does it make the lines around neglect have a while new meaning?
“I feel strongly about the issue because we have become so over-the-top when ‘protecting’ children that we are refusing to let them learn the lessons of self-reliance and problem-solving that they will need to be successful as adults,” Sen. Lincoln Fillmore."
What do you think about this new step? Do you think other states will follow this path?
