The National government is considering changing the voting age to 16 in time for the 2020 election which is about 2 years away. If this goes into effect, it will change in local, state and federal elections. The idea stems from giving kids in school more of a voice about things that they are affected by like school funds, gun control, etc being the drive and passion to help change things.
There will be an official hearing in June and then an official legislation vote before the end of 2018.
Do you think this will help students get their voices across or create more issues?
