Starbucks Is Opening Their First Sign Language Cafe

Starbucks is doing another cool thing! They are even starting a potential new trend too. They are opening their first ever sign language cafe in the United States right in Washington D.C.! People who are deaf/hard of hearing and people who are fluent in sign language will be employed specifically and the store is open to anyone.

Another cool thing is that every employee will have a unique apron that has 'Starbucks' written on it in American Sign Language. The store will also have other features to assist the employees/customers.

Kind of a cool concept right? Depending on the success of it, there is plenty of potential to create more of these cafes around the country. And till then, Starbucks will continue to employ deaf/hard of hearing people throughout the company.

Video posted to Facebook showed a man waiting to order at a drive-thru in Florida, but he had to wait until the McDonald's employee finished gossiping with her coworkers.
