Disneyland Will Be Selling Alcohol For The First Time In 63 Years

Guess what?! Disneyland will be selling alcohol around the park for the first time 63 years! And they will even have themed drinks which is what I was hoping for!

In 2019, Oga’s Cantina will open its doors at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to serve beer and wine, as well as pre-mixed alcoholic drinks, including outer-space themed cocktails.

Below is the real reason why it hasn't happened yet.

When Walt Disney created the beloved theme parks, he was against alcoholic beverages being served in the parks for “fear that people would become unruly.” But when a handful of Magic Kingdom restaurants began to serve wine and beer in 2016, Scott Smith, an assistant hospitality professor at the University of South Carolina, told the Orlando Sentinel, “I don’t think Walt (Disney) is going to be spinning in his grave as long as it’s done tastefully.”

It will be interesting to see how this will impact the environment of the park or just the atmosphere all together. But it will become even more of a place for all ages!
