Hurricane Florence has already caused mass evacuations along the Carolina coast and is expected to be one of the strongest hurricanes to hit in recent years. 105 mph: Wilmington, North Carolina, was hit Friday morning by a 105 mph wind gust, the strongest wind in the city since 1958. 12,000: More than 12,000 evacuees are at shelters across North Carolina.
