Nordstrom has completely sound out of shows that look like they could have been sound in the back of someone's closet years after wear or from the trash in an alley.
The department store's "Golden Goose Superstar Taped Sneaker" retailed for $530 online. The shoes, crafted to appear like worn out, scuffed shoes with duct tape across the wearer's toes went like hotcakes.
Apparently these shoes are meant to make a fashion statement but really, they are making the statement that people will do anything to become a viral story or a part of one. Would you ever spend $530 on shoes or even buy shoes like this?
Golden Goose comes out with a pair of sneakers listed at $530 that are worn down and kept together by tape. Since when is it a trend to glorify the appearance of used sneakers and poverty? pic.twitter.com/1yLTuitIBX— Bryan Heckman (@b_hecky) September 20, 2018
