A Study Finds Hot Baths Are As Effective As Exercise In Fighting Depression

In a new study from Freiburg University in Germany according to Mental Floss, it has found that a calm hot bath is just as effective as exercise when it comes to battling depression.

"Scientists may have found evidence that there’s a more substantial benefit to bathing: It might actually help alleviate depression."

They are still working on the research but they had about 45 people who have been battling severe & chronic depression go in.

"They were instructed to either exercise for 45 minutes twice each week or take 30-minute hot baths (at 104°F) and then relax with hot water bottles and a warm blanket for 20 minutes twice a week."

What do you think? Do you think a hot bath help you relax more than exercise?
