There are always so many decisions and choices you have to make when having a baby but now there is another thing to add to that list - what to do with the umbilical cord. Most people dispose of it but now you can actually put it into jewelry according to People Magazine.
I have heard of people keeping their placenta to turn into pills to give back nutrients that gets lost during child birth as well as collecting the stem cells but this is a first.
"Ruth Avra, who hails from Florida and runs a shop called A La Avra — sells a sterling silver, custom-shaped umbilical cord necklace for $195 on her website. “I put both stumps next to each other on the table. Lightning bolts struck and I had a plan,” Avra told The New York Post about how her idea came about following the birth of her and her best friends’ sons around the same time."
Is this something you would consider doing?!
