When Civana Wellness Resort & Spa invited me to come experience all they had to offer this weekend I was elated! My friend Erica and I had the most fantastic time at this hidden gem tucked away in the beautiful desert of Carefree Arizona. Here are five photos to highlight our staycation!
First let's talk about the SPA! Oh my goodness. I had a Spirit of the Desert massage where they used warm Pima cotton poultices filled with herbs to facilitate renewed feelings of vitality and balance. And it worked! I left feeling marvelous! I followed my massage with their Aqua Therapy Circuit where water plays an essential role in healing the body and calming the mind. Then finished my spa day with a dip in the saltwater pool with fresh berries served right to my lounge chair!
Since we are on the subject of food, Terra's at Civana is not to be missed. And neither was this beef tenderloin. All ingredients were so fresh and so flavorful! And the meat melted like butter in my mouth. I also have to mention the Buckwheat Pancakes I had for breakfast that aren't pictured. DIVINE.
This was our room! The bed was so incredibly cozy and the bathroom had a huge soaking tub and rain shower! Our view of the desert and spa was perfect for that morning cup of coffee as the sunrise painted colors across the sky.
We decided to enjoy the pool by moonlight and this photo explains why! We met so many like-minded people around the resort whether it was at the pool, the restaurant or one of the free wellness classes!
