You know I love a good dog-friendly establishment so when I heard about Walter Station Brewery (they have an all-day "Yappy Hour" on Sundays for guests who bring their dogs) I made sure to promise my rescue pup, Cricket that we'd give them a visit. And it looks like that inaugural hello will be on Saturday (8/20) as they introduce the new Ale Wagger! Yep, this new brew is for the dogs. The Ale Wagger will be served on tap and in specialty cans and will raise funds for the Arizona Animal Welfare League - one of my favorite rescues that have frequented episodes of SJ's Fur-Ever Friends. For every six pack and individual draft beer sold, the brewery plans to donate $1 to the AAWL's programs including vaccinations and microchips, fostering, volunteering, and vet services.
The can is pretty special all in itself - the limited-edition Ale Wagger features some of the pets adopted from AAWL this past year.
Join us on Saturday from 11am-2pm to celebrate the launch of this new beer. Walter Station Brewery will have plenty of Ale Wagger, food and pups on site to make for a perfect kick-off to the weekend. See you there!
