CDC Warns Rise Of Hard-To-Kill Poop Parasite In Public Pools

Outbreaks of the poop parasite known as cryptosporidium have been going up for the last 10 years, according to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) It causes cryptosporidiosis, which can lead to the extended bout of diarrhea!

People... pooping in the pool is NOT OK!

According to Thrillist,

The report states the number of outbreaks has risen an average of 13% each year since 2009 and that most folks tend to catch it at public swimming pools and water parks. What's more troubling, standard chlorination doesn't kill it and it can survive in a properly treated pool for up to a week.
