Nike donates $1.6 million to local organizations for coronavirus relief

With the coronavirus pandemic rising growing major companies are helping out as much as they can including Nike. They have donated $1.6 million to help local organizations with food assistance and medical care.

"These grants will support on-the-ground organizations that need it the most, such as health, social services, and humanitarian organizations, food banks and COVID-19 response funds," the brand wrote in a statement.

Some of the organizations that have been donated too include The Oregon Food Bank, Oregon Community Foundation and Oregon Health & Science University. Employees that wear Nike and support the coronavirus response will be matched in donations two-to-one.

They have also collaborated with MAC Cosmetics, Ralph Lauren, SKIMS and more for the coronavirus relief.
