Chris Hemsworth thinks he ruined his chance of ever being friends with Billie Eilish.
The Avengers star opened up about an embarrassing fan moment with the "lovely" songstress at the 2024 Academy Awards during Wednesday's (March 26) episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
"I got a photo with Billie Eilish at the Oscars, and I remember thinking, 'Ah, don't do it, don't do it'." Hemsworth asked Eilish for a quick selfie, despite his better judgment, and instantly became a "fan."
"I was like, 'No, my kids are going to love this.' And then the moment I took it, I was like, 'I went from work colleague to now like a fan.'" The Thor actor joked that, from that moment on, he and Eilish would "never be friends, never be best friends" because he was no longer a colleague.
When asked if he'd ever worked on a project with the "Ocean Eyes" hitmaker, Hemsworth admitted that he had not, but they were in the same industry and might "bump shoulders" one day.
Eilish took the stage at the Oscars that night to perform 2023 track, "What Was I Made For?" featured in blockbuster hit, Barbie.
