A popular sweet treat sold in stores around the country has been recalled for a surprising reason.

Tony's Chocolonely Inc. has issued a recall for seven lots of the Tony's brand Dark Almond Sea Salt Bar and the Everything Bar due to the potential presence of "small stones," according to a recall notice shared April 2 by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. The recall was initiated after the company received a dozen consumer complaints of small stones found in the products that were "not filtered during third-party almond harvesting and the almond processing process."

The products were sold on the Tony's Chocolonely website and distributed to retail stores nationwide from February 7, 2025 to March 24, 2025. For a full list of recalled UPC, lot codes and "best by" dates, visit the FDA's website. No other lot codes or Tony's brand products aside from the select items were affected by the recall.

As of time of the recall, no injuries have been report. Consumers are urged not to eat the affected products, and instead throw them out or return them to the place of purchase for either a refund or a replacement.
