Kylie Jenner is looking at her past fashion choices with a new perspective.

In a new interview with Vogue, the Kylie Cosmetics founder explained her decision to wear a controversial dress to pals Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin Bieber's 2019 wedding in South Carolina.

At the time, Jenner raised some eyebrows for her choice of wedding attire, a one-shouldered gold foil dress by J'Aton Couture with cut-outs and a thigh-high slit. She accessorized the glitzy gown with gold stiletto sandals and a butterfly clutch. Many commenters thought the jaw-dropping dress drew attention away from the stunning custom lace gown by Virgil Abloh for Off-White Hailey wore for her big day, per Page Six.

After acknowledging that some people were "a little upset that I went all out" with her extravagant ensemble, she defended her look. She added that even the couple of the hour "didn't care, I don't think" before mimicking pickup up a phone and advising Hailey, her longtime friend, to "call me if you have an issue."

Even though she stands by the gilded look, Jenner admitted she has evolved over the six years since the nuptials and would make a different choice when attending a wedding today.

"I probably wouldn't wear this now to someone's wedding," she said. "But I think I had the impression that people were gonna just be going all out, and I loved this look."

The Kardashians star added that she had "one of the best nights" celebrating the Biebers and was even "the last one to leave the wedding."

The Biebers' 2019 wedding came one year after the originally tied the knot in a civil ceremony. They have since welcomed their first child together, son Jack Blues Bieber born in August 2024.
