It's official: MIKE TYSONis going to be a part of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel this year. And they're trying to make us believe he'll FIGHT a great white shark. (???)
"Tyson vs. Jaws: Rumble on the Reef" airs Sunday, August 9th at 9:00 P.M. Discovery says Tyson will, quote, "square off" with a shark in the name of "research". And legendary ring announcerMICHAEL BUFFERwill call the action.
In the promo Mike promises that "someone's gonna get bit!"
Obviously, Mike Tyson and a shark aren't going to throw hands . . . or fins. And they're not gonna try to bite each other to death. Kind of like howMICHAEL PHELPSdidn't actually race a shark a few years back.
But you have to admit, Discovery is pretty good at marketing this stuff so you can't help but tune in, just to find out HOW they're going to disappoint you.
