Meet Winx!
This single mama is looking for her forever Valentine at Almost There Rescue: A Mom & Pups Rescue! This beautiful four-year old girl was found with her puppies on the streets in really bad shape. Here ears have likely been clipped in a very inhumane manner and one of her eyes will soon be removed as it has sunken into her eye socket. But with a name like Winx, she's happy to spend her life winking in approval at her future love.
The angels at Almost There Rescue were able to get her and her babies healthy and into safety and now all are almost ready to be adopted!
The night prior to me meeting Winx was a rough one for her after a hematoma from her spay surgery caused bleeding and landed her in the emergency vet. I would have never guessed. She approached me with love and kisses and a wagging tail that never stopped. She sat on my lap and leaned into me knowing she was in a safe space. And she pressed her head into my chest as if to listen to my beating heart. And let me tell you, it was beating out of my chest at how incredible this pup is. Winx is loyal, strong, resilient and all she wants is a place she can feel safe and LOVED.
